Bustling Market Lane in Manly has transformed into what is now the social hub of Manly for locals!
This space comes alive on weekends, and the council and local business owners have put a great deal of effort into making sure this space is an attractive and safe place to spend your Saturday and Sundays, especially at night time.
Over the last few years, more and more amazing businesses are opening up in this little happening precinct. A cafe favourite of mine is the Market Lane Cafe, the Allpress coffees never disappoint, and many locals love bringing their dog along and sit outside people watching!
If you are after a delicious and healthy breakfast Bare Naked Bowls is the place for you, their Acai bowls are to die for and 10% of your purchase to our non-for-profit charity The International Brothers & Sisters House. The Swedish Fika Kitchen is a beautifully designed cafe that offers traditional Swedish fare for breakfast and lunch and is open for dinner on ‘Meatball Monday’s. They also host special Swedish style events, the most recent event was a traditional ‘Crayfish Party’.
The recently opened Momo Dumpling Bar has been an amazing success. Momo serves Nepalese Dumplings & Poké Bowls. Momo are a traditional Himalayan delicacy in Nepal and are steamed dumplings served with garlic yoghurt and paprika sauce or “Achar a traditional sauce. Poke is a delicious and popular dish found in Hawaii, and is cubed raw fish, and can be served on its own or in a bowl usually with other healthy vegetables. Best to get in early here, as lines can be seen down Market Lane!
Cured is a great place to spend the afternoon or early/late evening in Market Lane. This New York style bar serves 22 Italian style meats, pickles, and 14 types of cheeses and an award winning sourdough. The carefully selected wine, beer and local brews list has something for everybody, this place will surely leave you impressed.
