Ballast Point founder Mat Wilk has spent 20 years’ building amazing houses and working with some of the country’s leading architects, including Peter Stutchbury, Rosevear Stephenson, Ian Moore and Andrew Burges on some incredible projects. After 13 years working as a construction manager at Yuncken Builders on Sydney’s North shore he co-founded Ballast Point in 2015.

Since that time, we have evolved from a building contractor business into an integrated design and building company that puts clients and their needs first. We are extremely proud to have established a reputable business that is centered on people.

In 2020 Peter Maxwell, formally a senior architect at Popov Bass, joined Ballast Point as Design Director and turned our fledgling design shop into an established and respected architectural practice which now employs 3 full time staff on our design team.

Our construction team is headed up by Goyko Knezevic who with 30 years of residential and commercial experience brings a wealth of knowledge and problem-solving expertise.
